Petronas secures 15-year LNG supply from ADNOC's Ruwais LNG

ADNOC has firmed a supply agreement for one million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) with Petronas. Most of the LNG will be sourced from Ruwais LNG, ADNOC's largest liquefaction project.

With production scheduled to start in 2028, Ruwais LNG is under construction in Abu Dhabi since November 2023. The facility is designed to feature two trains with a total capacity of 9.6Mtpa.

After the agreement with Petronas, which will be valid for 15 years starting 2028, over 8Mtpa of the planned capacity for Ruwais LNG has been secured.
