Acciona and the Peace River Hydro Partners (PRHP) consortium have announced the conclusion of construction for the Site C hydroelectric dam in British Columbia, Canada.
The development began in 2015 after Acciona was awarded the US$1.8bn project contract.
The dam's hydroelectric capacity will be of 183MW, after the installation and commissioning of six generating units. The construction is expected to enable the generation of renewable energy for 100 years.
The start of operations is expected in 2025.
