Production starts at Neptune Energy’s Cygnus-10 well in the North Sea

Neptune Energy and partner Spirit Energy have announced the start-up of the Cygnus gas field’s 10^th well to date. Operational since December 2016, Cygnus is located in the Southern Gas Basin of the North Sea.

Drilling operations were executed by Borr Drilling’s Prospector 1 jack-up rig.

The beginning of production from this additional well means that Cygnus will now be able to meet the natural gas demands of nearly 2 million homes in the UK.

Drilling of the Cygnus-11 well has already started, with completion expected in the second quarter of 2023.
