The Strategy

Our client expressed interest in expanding into the LNG regasification or liquefaction sector but sought guidance on the future outlook and current state of the market. As the company planned to engage with operators approximately a year before operations commence, they requested an overview of the project pipeline, including insights into which countries represent near-term and long-term opportunities. This would enable them to strategically target specific markets for entry.

Our Approach

Using desktop research, EICDS, and EICAM we delivered a presentation on the global LNG outlook. It highlighted top countries and operators with project pipelines through 2027 and 2032, along with rankings based on installed capacity. The analysis included both short- and long-term market perspectives to give a complete view. Supporting Excel sheets featured EICAM data on operators by number of assets and the most asset-concentrated locations within leading countries. Additionally, the EICDS sheet provided a detailed table of project counts and priority markets, along with key locations within the leading countries by project pipeline.
