Due to its wide maritime space and extensive continental platform, Brazil has favourable characteristics for the installation and operation of undertakings for offshore electricity generation, leveraging the country in the goal of energy transition and decarbonization of the economy.
Despite being the source that grows the most nationally in terms of installed capacity, this technology still has bottlenecks concerning little knowledge, infrastructure and regulation.

Matheus Noronha - Head of Offshore Wind Energy - ABEEólica
He currently holds the position of Head of Offshore Wind Energy at ABEEólica (2015 to now). Post-Doctorate in Clean Technologies and Innovation at ESPM – Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing. PhD in strategy and innovation at ESPM. He holds a Master's in Consumer Behavior (ESPM), an MBA in Business Administration and Marketing (Católica Business School – Porto) and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing (Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie). He has more than 70 scientific and journalistic articles published on innovation, strategy, energy, clean technology and startups. Author of the book “Innovation and Sustainability for the Energy Transition”.
Luany Dantas - Engineer Consultant - Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC)
Naval Architect and Marine Engineer with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on Offshore Wind Turbines.
Participant of the Women in Wind Global Leadership Program 2021 from GWEC (Global Wind Energy Council) and GWNET(Global Women's Network for the Energy Transition).
9+ years in the energy industry. Responsible for Naval Architecture-related work for offshore engineering, and marine projects along with Marine Warranty Surveyor activities and Offshore Wind-related activities.
