The EIC is glad to announce the Breakfast in Rio with PRIO and SLB, formerly known as Schlumberger to present on ‘Offshore E&P opportunities’

PRIO is a pioneer in the recovery and life extension of mature fields. With the Wahoo, Frade, and Albacora Leste fields - acquired from Petrobras last April – the company plans to increase production from the current 50,000 barrels/day through the Polvo, Tubarão Martelo and Frade fields, to an estimated 140,000 barrels/day over the next three years. More recently, it closed the purchase of 100% of Dommo Energia, formerly OGX. Also, the company is highly efficient in its cost of oil extraction, which ended the second quarter at US$11.1 per barrel - the lowest level in its history.

SLB, formerly known as Schlumberger has continuously raised the benchmark for innovation, proven by our long-held and continuing track record of solutions, industry firsts, and new industry standards. SLB is the world's leading provider of technology for reservoir characterization, drilling, production, and processing to a global energy industry.

Offshore Brazil, SLB's recent application of technology and an integrated drilling contract model has enabled Petrobras to drill two of its fastest wells on record, including the most recent national record of 23 days—7 days ahead of plan. Currently, SLB is taking part in the Equinor Bacalhau field project, which is estimated to receive an investment of 8 billion dollars. Other companies that SLB has served are LUKoil, ExxonMobil and Chevron.
