About this event
Offshore wind has emerged as the backbone of the UK’s latest energy security strategy released on April 7. The government has set a new target to achieve 50 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030 against its previous pledge of 40 GW. UK’s path to accomplishing 50 GW by 2030 offers a massive yet challenging opportunity. For such ambitious plans to succeed, building the necessary transmission infrastructure becomes critical.
Against this background, Global Transmission, with support from Energy Industries Council and REGlobal is organising its Offshore Wind Transmission UK conference on July 5, 2022, at London Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf. The mission of the conference is to highlight emerging opportunities in the UK’s offshore wind sector and discuss strategies, technologies, and solutions for developing the related transmission infrastructure.
