About this event

Join the EIC as we partner with BlueFloat Energy and Falck Renewables to talk about their vision for floating offshore wind in Scotland and discuss their plans to apply for seabed rights in the Crown Estate Scotland’s leasing round for offshore wind projects.

Over the last few years, offshore wind has become a reliable and cost-competitive energy source and is expected to play a crucial role in the energy transition process moving forward. BlueFloat Energy and Falck Renewables will look to develop floating wind projects in Scotland, if successful in obtaining the seabed rights in the Scotwind leasing round.

The floating wind specialist BlueFloat Energy is backed by the cleantech investment platform - 547 Energy - and is at the forefront of today’s energy transition, with a corporate vision of accelerating the global deployment of offshore wind. Leveraging its unique experience in floating offshore wind, BlueFloat Energy has formed a strategic alliance with Falck Renewables - an onshore wind developer with over 15 years of experience of working closely with local Scottish communities and the supply chain to deliver bankable wind projects.

Register today to hear from these two companies as they plan to leverage their complementary capabilities to unlock the potential for floating offshore wind in Scotland and deliver economic growth for the broader Scottish community.
