About this event
The Energy Industries Council invites industry players and stakeholders to join us as our experts as they provide an overview of the US offshore wind industry.
The EIC is currently tracking eight active and 22 future developments in the US offshore wind market, which is expected to add over US$80bn in investment across the next decade. The project pipeline holds over 20GW in potential capacity, of which the majority is still in the development process. The sector is currently awaiting the final consent of the 800MW Vineyard Wind project, due in December 2020, which is expected to kick start further development and provide guidance for other developers and their project proposals. The US offshore wind market is supported by strong capacity targets from the country’s north-eastern coastal states, which are aiming to benefit from potential local supply chain development, port and infrastructure investment and skills building. In July 2020, the state of New York released its latest offshore wind solicitation round the procurement of up to 2.4GW in offshore wind capacity as part of its ambition of 9GW operational capacity by 2035.
Join us on Wednesday 2 September to find out more about the potential current and future project opportunities for the supply chain.
