We are back in the North West the home of the groundbreaking HyNet project. As one of the UK’s leading in low carbon initiatives. HyNet is transforming the region by delivering clean hydrogen and implementing carbon capture and storage technologies.
HyNet marked a significant milestone with the UK Government’s approval to begin construction, signalling strong progress for the project. The announcement of financial close for Eni’s Liverpool Bay Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project was made by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the Summit on the Future of Energy Security.
This major development positions HyNet as a key driver in securing the future of British industry and delivering on the UK’s low-carbon growth strategy as the nation advances toward its net zero goals.
With two FID’s announced in September for Heidelberg Material's Padeswood Cement CCS and Encyclis' Protos Energy Recovery Facility CCS.
