PRIO, a leading player in the field of mature field recovery and life extension within the oil and gas industry. Renowned for its exceptional performance and strategic acquisitions, PRIO has demonstrated significant growth in recent years.
In 2023, achieved a noteworthy milestone by producing 88 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (boed), marking a remarkable 117% increase compared to its 2022 production. Particularly impressive is PRIO's performance in the fourth quarter of 2023, where the average production of 100 thousand boed reflected a substantial 110% growth from the same period in the previous year.
A standout feature of PRIO's operations is the commitment to operational excellence, exemplified by the company's consistent efficiency in oil extraction. The month of December 2023 saw the production average at 101 thousand boed, with specific highlights such as the Albacora Leste field contributing significantly to this success.
With full ownership of key assets, including the Frade field (100%), Polvo/Tubarão Martelo (100%), Albacora Leste (90%), and Wahoo (64.3%), all situated in the Campos Basin, PRIO has solidified its position as an industry leader. Additionally, the company's ventures in exploration, such as a 60% stake in Itaipu and 100% ownership of blocks in the Foz do Amazonas Basin, further underscore its commitment to innovation and growth in the oil and gas sector.
Foresea is a company dedicated to providing solutions in Offshore Drilling. The first Brazilian company to operate a semi-submersible unit anchored in water depths exceeding 1,000 meters in the sector.
With five assets in operation in Brazil, comprising four drillships and one semi-submersible platform (Norbe VI, Norbe VIII, Norbe IX, ODN I, ODN II), the company replaces Ocyan in the drilling arena. Besides the five rigs under service with Petrobras and PRIO, Foresea also has a contract to operate the PRIO-owned Hunter Queen semisubmersible rig, formerly known as West Capricorn.
Now a key player in Brazil's oil and gas market, Foresea is geared for growth with efficient operations, poised to pursue investment opportunities and new contracts in 2024.
