About this event
The UK Government published a ten-point plan for a green industrial revolution in 2020 which detailed an approach to building a cleaner energy system, supporting clean energy jobs and accelerating our path to net zero by 2050.
Hydrogen is widely viewed as a key enabler of the energy transition, and the UK has the potential to be a world leader, aiming to develop 10GW of low carbon hydrogen production capacity by 2030. According to EIC DataStream, there are 19 active and 60 future hydrogen schemes based in the UK alone.
But what’s next? How can we use hydrogen as a flexible energy vector, both as a fuel and feedstock, to maintain a low carbon energy system?
Join us on Thursday, 13 July 2023 to explore future options beyond the current hydrogen economy, fast forwarding to green hydrogen, repurposed storage terminals, green ammonia, sustainable aviation and efuels. We’ll also debate what’s needed from end-users and the supply chain to make these technologies a reality in support of a truly low carbon future.
