Humber Zero Carbon Capture Supply Chain Engagement Day
About this event
Humber Zero is a large scale decarbonisation project backed by world scale partners to remove up to 8 million tonnes per annum of CO2 and create a low carbon future for the Humber industry.
The project incorporates a cluster of energy-intensive industries that lie 1km from the coastline on the south bank of the River Humber. Close to offshore gas storage fields and sitting along a key pipeline route identified by National Grid to connect and decarbonise other key industry in the southern Humber, it is an ideal gateway project for large-scale decarbonisation in the wider region. The UK has committed to reducing carbon emissions to net zero by 2050. This can only be achieved by decarbonising the existing industry effectively. Energy intensive industries account for more than 20% of the Humber’s economy and 1 in 10 jobs. Humber Zero is a project with immediate impact for reduced emissions, whilst preserving jobs in these critical industries and maintaining the Humber’s role as an industrial hub.
Come along to hear from Humber Zero partners, VPI Immingham and Phillips 66 as well as the selected Humber Zero Engineering Services FEED Contract winner Worley as they give a project overview and inform suppliers of potential opportunities. This is a fantastic chance to gain insight into working with the Humber Zero partners, while finding out more about the requirements needed from the supply chain to support this exciting project both now and into the future.
