The workshop provides attendees with understanding of applications where choke valves are demanded on Oil & Gas Production facilities. Delegates will gain knowledge of application related issues and how to identify them. The course will also cover recommendations on how to deal with:
- Identify different types of topside choke valves (production, injection, gas lift, etc);
- Identify the challenges of these applications
- Identify when tungsten carbide is needed and how to avoid trim collapse;
- Identify the best possible solutions for each of the requirements and issues;

About the trainer
David Johnson is the Product Manager for surface chokes & subsea products at KOSO Kent Introl (KKI) Limited. David has been in the valve industry for 40 years. During his career David has worked with various industries, including water, chemical, pharmaceutical and power. For the past 23 years he has concentrated on the upstream oil & gas market & the newly emerging transitional energy market, with his main focus being on KKI’s surface chokes & subsea products. KKI manufacture a full range of Severe Service Control & Choke Valves, both topside and subsea, for the global energy markets.
