First published in 2017 to study the successful growth strategies of energy supply chain companies in tough market conditions, the annual Survive and Thrive report has followed an energy industry in transition that has had to both rebuild and redefine itself.
Five years on from that inaugural report and much has changed in the world, both in the energy sector and beyond, compounded by COVID-19 striking in March 2020 just when businesses were at last seeing strong backlogs again.
Consequently, the need to analyse how companies have both survived and thrived has never been greater and the stories of the 2021 participants are inspiring in their resilience, adaptability, and ingenuity to overcome a market crisis like no other.
In a wide-ranging discussion with the executive author of the report and interviewer of all 61 participant companies, Stuart Broadley will highlight the top growth strategies currently deployed in the sector, including collaboration, culture, digital, diversification, energy transition, export, innovation, optimisation, service & solutions, technology, transformation, sustainability, scale up and resilience.
