Weathering the Storm: Preparing for and addressing the impacts of worst-case scenarios
About this event
We are currently experiencing the “calm before the storm” as we prepare for the 2021 hurricane season across the Gulf Coast region. Early forecasts indicate it will be an above average year in terms of the number and severity of storms.
In 2020, the Gulf Coast region saw numerous facility evacuations, costly oil and gas production down time, and structural damage to both fixed and floating facilities. How are owners/operators preparing for worst-case scenarios around extreme weather events; and is the sector Hurricane-ready?
Join the EIC, its event partner BMT, and the owner/operator community to discuss strategies around preparedness plans and addressing impacts of severe weather. Speakers will discuss strategies around preparedness plans, damage assessment and remediation, the role of technology, mitigation methodology, sound remediation plans, and quick action to critical infrastructure, health and safety, and the marine environment.
