About this event
Mozambique has seen tremendous growth in its hydrocarbon industry, where recent discoveries indicate a potential of 150tn cubic feet (Tcf) of proven gas reserves, placing the country as the third-largest proved natural gas reserve holder in Africa. Predominately, exploration in the country has been focused offshore, which will be the trend going forward, as significant gas discoveries have been made by Anadarko and Eni in the Rovuma Basin.
With limited indigenous supply chain capabilities opportunities exist for UK companies across the whole of the value chain from feasibility to EPC, where Mozambique has become an importer of UK expertise across multiple sectors. Due to the large gas discoveries being made, Mozambique is seeing the development of LNG Liquefaction facilities both onshore and offshore, while Shell is proposing a multi-billion dollar investment in a world-scale GTL plant. This event will give you the opportunity to hear directly from the major players in the market on the progress of these projects and the opportunities that will present themselves to the supply chain.
To highlight these opportunities and help you to find out more about doing business in Mozambique the EIC is planning an export showcase on Tuesday 17 April in London.
