Presentation - DSEAR and ATEX: Implications for the UK Energy Industry
Alan Tyldesley, Principal Specialist Inspector, Health and Safety Executive
Alan Tyldesley, Principal Specialist Inspector at the Health and Safety Executive gave a presentation describing the framework of the ATEX and DSEAR legislation and the implications for industries burning all types of fuel. He covered developments in hazardous area classification, assessing the ignition risks from mechanical equipment and some of the ongoing interpretation issues.

After the meeting there was a lively question and answer session with was followed by a factory tour.
