About this event

Canada is the sixth largest oil producing country in the world, with over 185 active and future projects, worth $412bn, currently being tracked on EICDataStream.  The largest of these projects (value) is the Kitsault Energy Corridor and FLNG Export Terminal located 800km north of Vancouver.  This is the preferred location for the LNG site for the export of natural gas that is found in Northeast British Columbia to Asia and other markets.

Other large scale developments include Phases 4-5 of the Horizon Oil Sands Upgrader Project and the Mackenzie Valley Gas Project & Pipeline.

EIC members are invited to meet with Tracey Grindal, Trade Officer - Oil & Gas, Mining and Carbon Capture & Storage at UKTI Canada to find out more about the opportunities available to them in the Canadian oil and gas market.  Tracey will present some details on the Canadian developments and doing business in the country before answering any questions EIC members may have on the sector in a round table discussion.

UKTI in Calgary is looking to commission a study to look at the Canadian oil & gas sector to identify the gaps in the supply chain (capability, capacity and capital) that the UK could potentially fill. This is a good opportunity to introduce your organisation to the local UKTI representative who works closely with several of the large oil companies operating in the country (including Imperial Oil, Husky Energy and Suncor Energy (who also own Petro Canada)).

Please note: This will be a round table discussion.
