Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems wins contract for Texas power plant

Entergy Texas has awarded Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (MHPS) an order to deliver two gas turbines for its 993MW Montgomery County power station in Willis, Texas.
The plant is expected to come online in 2021 and will provide power to 455,000 customers across 27 counties in Texas.
MHPS will provide two of its air-cooled G-Series gas turbine generation units to the project.
Entergy Texas has announced that the plant will also include MHPS’ TOMONI digital system, providing analytics and machine learning to ensure optimal plant performance, flexibility and reliability.
