Merkur offshore wind farm produces first power
05 June, 2018
The 396MW Merkur offshore wind farm, located in the North Sea, has produced its first power.
More than one third of the project’s 6MW turbines have been installed according to operator Merkur Offshore GmbH, a joint venture between Partners Group, IngraRed Capital Partners, DEME Concessions and Coriolis.
Connection to the grid hub will be tested from mid-June and the project is aiming to be completed by 2019.
Once operational, the offshore wind farm will supply approximately 500,000 households with green energy.
