Scottish Power Renewables has begun the onshore construction of its East Anglia 3 offshore windfarm, which will provide electricity to around 1.3m households.
Located off the coast of Suffolk in England, the East Anglia 3 will have a renewable energy capacity of 1.4GW and will contribute to the government's target of having 50GW of offshore wind installed by 2030.
The wind farm is part of the East Anglia Hub, which will consist of three offshore wind farms with a combined capacity of around 3GW.
The hub is scheduled to be completed in 2026.
