ABO Wind has sold its Buffalo Plains wind power project. The 514.6MW plant to be built in Alberta, Canada, was transferred to an undisclosed company with all regulatory permits acquired and ready-to-build.
Buffalo Plains will feature 83 Siemens Gamesa turbines, each with 6.2MW of capacity.
During construction, the wind farm  will generate 300 jobs, with 15 permanent roles expected after completion.
The project’s new owner will stay anonymous until late August, when it intends to announce its Canadian developments.
