Energean has announced that the Energean Power FPSO has arrived on location offshore Israel. The vessel is scheduled to start gas production at the Karish field in the third quarter of 2022.
From Sembcorp Marine’s Admiralty Yard in Singapore, Energean Power took 35 days to arrive in Israel. The 5,532 miles long journey crossed six seas and the Suez Canal.
Energean’s next step is to begin the FPSO’s hook up and commissioning, which covers the installation of risers and jumpers and commissioning of the sales gas pipeline.
This process is expected to take three to four months, which could lead first gas to be reached in September.
The Energean Power FPSO has a gas processing capacity of 8bn cubic metres per year.
