Equinor has announced the official opening of the Martin Linge field in the Norwegian North Sea.
Located 42km west of Oseberg, in water depths of 115 metres, the Martin Linge field has been officially opened by Norwegian petroleum and energy minister Marte Mjøs Persen.
The field development comprises a jacket-based integrated wellhead, production and accommodation platform, as well as a permanently anchored oil storage vessel.
The estimated recoverable resources are approximately 260m barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe). In 2022, the field is anticipated to reach plateau production of around 115,000 barrels of oil equivalent, primarily gas and condensate.
Equinor has a 70% stake in the field, while the remaining 30% interest is owned by Petoro.
