The battery energy storage system (BESS) is adjacent to Statera's 450MW gas-fired power plant replacing the Tilbury coal station.
According to Statera, it now has over 2.1GW of UK projects currently under construction or already operational, with an additional 16GW in development. The developer has invested £1bn so far and plans to invest up to £7bn by 2030.
