After an initial offer in March, Ecopetrol has successfully acquired the entirety of Wind Autogeneración from Enel. The company is the developer of the Windpeshi wind power project in La Guajira, Colombia.
Located between the municipalities of Uribia and Maicao, the wind farm is planned to have a generation capacity of 205MW. Once operational, Windpeshi's power output will be directly integrated into Ecopetrol's self-consumption portfolio.
Construction is set to start no later than 2025, with start-up expected before 2028.
