The Philippines’ Department of Energy (DoE) has granted Blueleaf Energy and SunAsia Energy contracts for the development  and operation of a floating solar power project in the country. To be built on the Laguna Lake, the plant will have a capacity of 610.5MW.
The Laguna Lake project will be jointly developed by the companies as part of a 1.GW set of floating solar operating contracts awarded by the Phillipines.
The facility is planned to be the world’s largest floating solar plant, crossing the cities of Calamba, Santa Rosa, Cabuyao, and the towns of Bay and Victoria.
