Plenitude, the renewable energy branch of Eni, has started operations of its Golden Buckle project in Brazoria County, United States. The 263MW solar plant was built 80km away from Houston, Texas, in an area of 600ha.
Construction took approximately a year, being carried out by Novis Renewables, a joint venture between Eni and Renantis.
Golden Buckle’s output, estimated at approximately 500GWh per year, has been mostly secured by a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Target.
