RWE has revealed that it’s currently in early development works for a 600MW photovoltaic (PV) plant in south Yorkshire or north Lincolnshire. Named Tween Bridge, the solar farm has just acquired a capacity agreement with the National Grid.
The project won’t need new additional infrastructure, as it will be installed next to RWE’s existing 44MW Tween Bridge wind farm and use its network connection.
Environmental studies by the developer will now follow.
First power should be achieved in 2029.
