RWE has concluded installation works for all offshore wind turbines that compose its Kaskasi project in the North Sea. The developer already has over two thirds of its 342MW plant in operation.
The facility, located about 35km off the coast of Heligoland Island, Germany, features 38 of Siemens Gamesa’s 8.0-167 DD turbines, expected to enter full production by the end of 2022.
Electricity output generated by Kaskasi will be equivalent to the needs of over 400,000 German homes annually. The offshore wind farm is expected to work for at least 25 years.
