Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has granted Petrofac a two-year extension to its maintenance services contract at the Haliba field, UAE. The project, located approximately 150km, from Abu Dhabi, is spread over more than 4300km².
The initial agreement was set in September 2019, shortly after Haliba started operations.
The Haliba onshore development is split in two phases, the first of which currently produces at a capacity of 40,000 barrels per day.
The second phase, currently ongoing and scheduled to reach start-up in the second half of 2023, will add 120,000b/d to Haliba’s capacity. It includes two new 60,000b/d trains and provision for a third 60,000b/d for future development.
