General Electric (GE) has disclosed an order from Energa SA, one of Poland’s main power suppliers, for the Ostroleka C gas-fired power plant. GE will provide a turbine of its 9HA.02 model, which has a ramp rate of 88MW per minute.
This is GE’s second H-Class gas turbine order in the country. The first one came from Dolna Odra, which has is currently ongoing EPC phase and will feature two units of the 9HA.02 turbine.
Ostroleka C is scheduled to start production in 2025. It is part of Poland’s efforts to shut down coal-fired generation and decarbonise the country.
