Ørsted has affirmed that the Danish company is currently negotiating the acquisition of German wind farms developer Ostwind. The talks would involve a complete buyout of all of Ostwind’s subsidiaries.
Ostwind has been in the market for almost 30 years. Its activities include the development, project management and construction of wind plants in France and Germany.
Ørsted has linked the possible deal with the company’s statements at its Capital Markets Day 2021. There, Ørsted disclosed plans to expand its onshore portfolio in Europe.
A successful conclusion of the acquisition remains uncertain.
One of Ostwind’s projects is Bahren West, a 112MW wind farm in Germany. For more information, please visit EICDataStream.
