Fluence has been selected by Ampyr to deliver a 300MW/600MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Australia. The facility is planned for Wellington, New South Wales.
Fluence is a joint venture (JV) formed by Siemens and AES. It will be responsible for the construction, service and maintenance of the system for a 20-year period.
Wellington is Ampyr's first utility-scale BESS initiative in Australia to reach financial close. Operation is expected in 2026.
