Copenhagen Infrastructure Parnets (CIP) has awarded a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract for the second and third development phases of its Haewoori project to Aker Solutions. Both developments are 500MW offshore wind farms to be built in South Korea.
Following the contract, Aker Solutions will be responsible for the design and supply of floating foundation structures as well as for carrying out works related to transmission lines, turbine integration and transport and installation.
A subcontract has also been firmed with Principle Power for the design of the floating platforms and mooring system. Transportation and installation design will be conducted by Windstaller Alliance (a joint venture formed by Aker Solutions, DeepOcean and Solstad Offshore).
