According to operator Tullow Oil and partners, the first well of the Jubilee South-East (JSE) project, offshore Ghana, is now up and running. Two production wells and a water injector well are scheduled to come online by the end of 2023.
Tullow Oil's partners in the initiative are Kosmos Energy, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), Petro and Jubilee Oil. Total investment by the companies so far is calculated at approximately US$1bn.
The developers expect a production level at JSE of 100,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) in the coming years.
