Cadeler has been awarded a transportation and installation contract related to the wind turbines of the Baltic Power offshore wind farm in Poland. According to the contract, the company will work on the 76 turbines featured by the 1.2GW project.
Baltic Power's construction phase is scheduled to start next year, with the installation of the wind turbines taking place in 2025 and start-up coming in 2026.
To execute the activities, Cadeler will use a O-class installation vessel with a lifting capacity of 1,600 metric tonnes at a radius of 40 metres.
This is Cadeler's first work in Poland, as the wind farm will be built 23km off the northern coast of the country. The facility is expected to cover over 130km².
