Through Energy Development Oman’s (EDO’s) subsidiary Hydrom, the Omani government awarded three hydrogen projects to be developed in the country. The company signed agreements today as part of Hydrom’s first public auction.
The process was opened in November 2022 and involved project sites in the Duqm and Dhofar zones. The first of them, block Z1-01 was awarded to Amnah, a consortium formed by Copnhagen Infrastructure Partners, Blue Power Partners, and Al Khadra Partners.
The second project, block Z1-03, was secured by BP Oman, while the third one, block Z1-04, was awarded to Green Energy Oman (GEO), a consortium including Oman Shell, OQ, EnerTech, Intercontinental Energy, and Golden Wellspring Wealth for Trading.
