Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FVR) has achieved financial close on its 300MWac Walla Walla project in New South Wales, Australia. The solar power plant already has a power purchase agreement (PPA) of 15 years established with Microsoft.
A green loan financing for Walla Walla has been provided by ING, Clean Energy Finance and Export Development Canada.
The solar farm will be built 4km northeast of Walla Walla and approximately 40km from Albury. A joint venture composed by Gransolar and CHINT Solar will execute construction works, which will employ up to 250 people.
The project is FRV’s tenth solar development in Australia.
