A new SNF Oil & Gas Ltd Polyacrylamide Emulsion Manufacturing Plant.
SNF Oil and Gas have secured third round RGF funding to assist with the building of a new facility to produce Polyacrylamide Emulsion, predominately for use in the oil industry and SNF has received permission to have hazardous materials on site, which are used to make its products. The company, who are developing part of the old ICI site on Belasis Avenue in Billingham, have already received full planning consent and COMAH PC approval. The project is planned to be up and running by late 2014, creating 249 jobs when at full planned capacity within the next 10 years.
The company has appointed engineering design firm KHI to oversee the development of this new factory making chemical products for the onshore and offshore oil and gas industries and water treatment plants for all industries. The site will be one of the largest SNF emulsion production facilities capable of producing up to 500,000 tonnes of emulsion polymer per year.
