About this event

The EIC is glad to announce the Breakfast in Rio - with MISC, AET and Eaglestar

Join the EIC’s South America in the Breakfast in Rio - with MISC, AET and Eaglestar.
The MISC Group stands as a world leader in maritime solutions catering to global energy requirements, taking part in the ownership of various vessels and a myriad of floating production platforms mainly across Asia. The group currently aims for a 50% reduction in GHG intensity by 2030 and commits to net zero by 2050. Leading the charge in innovation, MISC's New Energy & Decarbonisation unit pioneers CCS solutions, low-CO2 vessels and FCSU floating facilities.

MISC Berhad’s presence in Brazil is presently tied to a partial ownership of Shell’s Espirito Santo FPSO, presently under a charter contract with the IOC in the Parque das Conchas cluster. MISC’s presence in the country is to be strengthened in 2024, however, when the 180,000 b/d Marechal Duque de Caxias FPSO, to be deployed in the Mero field by Petrobras under a 22.5-year charter contract, achieves first oil, becoming the first one operated by MISC Berhad.

AET Tankers is a leading global owner and operator of crude and clean petroleum tankers. With a fleet of over 60 vessels and multiple conventional/dual-fuel tankers, AET has a market leader with 13 Dynamic Positioning Shuttle Tankers (DPSTs) operating in Brazil and 570 ship-to-ship operations completed in Uruguay and Brazil. AET Tankers also inaugurated an office in Rio de Janeiro in mid-September 2023, allowing them to better engage with key stakeholders and support customers.
