About this event

The UAE enjoys what is possibly the most liberal lifestyle across the Middle East with a rich and diverse economy. The world’s 7th largest reserves of hydrocarbons are located almost exclusively within the Abu Dhabi emirate and the well-established free trade zones in Dubai make the UAE an attractive hub for UK companies looking to set up. To date over 300 EIC member companies are already well established in the region.

With the current downturn in North Sea activity, the EIC is actively encouraging its members to look to export opportunities and deploy expertise, particularly in markets that are considered a safe place to do business and within easy reach for UK companies.

Looking to set up in the United Arab Emirates?

Any company looking to set up in the UAE will need to know how to work with the national oil company, ADNOC which produces some 2.7million barrels of oil a day. Their integrated upstream and downstream activities are conducted by 16 specialist subsidiary and joint venture companies known as their ‘operating companies or ‘OPCO’s’.
As long standing supporters of the EIC, ADNOC and their Operating Companies will be fully represented at EIC Connect Middle East in Abu Dhabi on 17th May, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet their supply chain personnel face to face, alongside many other of the region’s leading operators and contractors.

If you are new to the UAE, are considering attending EIC Connect Middle East or ADIPEC in 2016, this pre-cursor event will enable you to:-

• Understand the current and projected market conditions
• Learn how to do business with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)
• Identify the key steps to setting up in the region
• Gain an insight from Shell and SNC Lavalin
• Meet other EIC member companies active in the region or looking to set up
• Prepare for a market visit
