About this event
Join us for the third installment of EIC’s webinar series
focused on in-country opportunities. This session will highlight the offshore
wind sector in Germany. As a key part of Germanys energy transition
(“Energiewende”) strategy offshore wind will play a crucial role in the shift
from fossil fuels towards renewable energy sources.
According to EICDataStream there are 26 projects in the
pipeline with 12 of these currently active. Germany already has 9.2GW of
installed offshore wind capacity and the German government has set ambitious
targets, aiming for 30 GW of offshore wind by 2030 and up to 70 GW by
2045. The majority of Germanys offshore wind farms are located in the
North Sea with a smaller number of projects in the Baltic Sea. Despite the
success, the industry faces challenges including regulatory hurdles, grid
connection delays, and the investment to expand the grid infrastructure.
This webinar is essential for supply chain professionals,
energy companies, and investors looking to tap into the German offshore wind
market. Learn about the opportunities available and discover how your business
can thrive in this growing market.
