About this event

The EIC is happy to announce the São Paulo Breakfast - Downstream Market Opportunities with TSE & Acelen

TSE is a Brazilian company focused on implementing industrial projects, specialising in the development and execution of high-complexity projects, primarily delivering the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) scope.

In late 2021, the company was awarded an EPC contract by Eneva for the expansion of the Parnaíba III thermal power plant, and construction is progressing in Maranhão. In 2022, a consortium with TSE and Mitsubishi Power won a contract with New Fortress Energy’s company Celba for the construction of the 624MW Novo Tempo Barcarena CCPP in the state of Pará.
Last year, Petrobras contracted TSE to resume and finish construction work of the GasLub Cluster, formerly known as the Comperj gas processing plant. Later in 2023, Prumo Logística partnered with TSE to develop the construction of a nitrogenous fertiliser production plant at Porto do Açu, in the state of Rio de Janeiro. TSE will collaborate on being the project's EPC contractor, as well as supplying the ammonia/urea-producing technology.

Acelen, an energy company owned by the Mubadala Capital Fund, created to actively participate in the global energy transition, is the operator of the Mataripe refinery in the state of Bahia.

In April 2023, Acelen signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Bahia for the construction of a biorefinery that will produce one billion litres of renewable diesel (HVO) and sustainable aviation kerosene (SAK) annually, estimating investment of up to US$2.4bn (R$12bn) by 2032. When complete, the plant is planned to use macauba palm oil as feedstock.
In late 2023, the company closed an agreement with Perfin Discovery Mercury and the Electra Group to jointly develop a 161MWp solar park in the municipality of João Dourado, Bahia state.
