MDC is a national company that invests in energy assets, covering natural gas, biomethane, renewable electrical energy, and steam from biomass, with a focus on environmental attributes such as carbon credits and biomethane traceability certificates (GAS-REC). The MDC Group plays a comprehensive role, from production to direct marketing to end consumers, consolidating an integrated and innovative model.
In partnership with Essencis Biometano, MDC Energia secured financing of 93.8 million Brazilian reais from BNDES for the construction of a biofuel plant at the Caieiras landfill in São Paulo. Spanning an area of 68,000 square meters, the plant is scheduled to be inaugurated in the first half of 2024, underscoring MDC Energia's commitment to decarbonizing the energy matrix through sustainable energy generation from landfill biogas. Additionally, MDC Energia operates two plants: GNR Dois Arcos in São Pedro da Aldeia, RJ, with an installed capacity of 15,000 m³/day of biomethane, and GNR Fortaleza, with an installed capacity of 85,000 m³/day of biomethane. These plants capture and treat the biogas generated at the municipal landfill west of Caucaia, representing about 20% of natural gas consumption in the state of Ceará.
Please, note that this webinar is free of charge and will be held in English.
