Join us for the latest masterclass in the ETZ series, "CCUS and Direct Air Capture: The Future of Clean Technology" supported by NECCUS and delivered by EIC as we delve into the future of clean energy technology. Carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS) is a critical element in achieving the UK's net-zero commitments. UK government has set a target of capturing and storing 30 million tonnes of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) per annum by 2030. In July 2023, The Scottish Cluster was awarded Track 2 status by UK Government, giving the green light for Scotland to accelerate activities to fully enable its world class CCUS assets. CCUS enables the advancement of direct air capture (DAC) technologies which are important in achieving net zero. Recognised as a crucial technological solution to combat climate change, North East Scotland has an opportunity to lead in the development and deployment of new DAC technologies enabled by the Acorn CCS project in St Fergus. Scotland’s experience in oil and gas, along with the skills, existing infrastructure and a robust supply chain, makes it the ideal setting for both CCUS and DAC to thrive. This masterclass will highlight the critical requirements and opportunities for the supply chain in CCUS and DAC and the role they play towards decarbonising the energy sector.Event DetailsDate: Tuesday 14 November 20223Time: 09:00 - 16:00Venue: Score Group, Peterhead, ScotlandCost: Free to attendConfirmed Speakers
