Sector Update: US Offshore Wind
About this event
Offshore wind in the US is now in full swing. Already, the US has 30MW in operations via the Block Island Wind Offshore wind farm by Orsted. With the recent announcements and lease sales in California, and the US Gulf of Mexico, the US has the potential for another 62.5GW of wind power capacity. As of now, EICDataStream, the EIC’s global Capex project database, is tracking 859 offshore wind projects across all development stages globally, worth over 2.4 trillion with a total capacity of 990 GW.
As such, the EIC North & Central America region, would like to invite EIC members to hear from energy leaders Orsted, Mott MacDonald, wood, and ABS Group, this upcoming 27 April 2023.
