About this event
Dubbed an energy export powerhouse, Australia has the greatest LNG export capacity of any country worldwide. As of 2022, Australian terminals for liquefied natural gas exports had a combined capacity of 87.6 million metric tons per year. Around US$16 billion of CAPEX is estimated to bring more LNG liquefaction projects online utilising offshore reserves.
The nation is also paving the path to becoming a clean energy superpower. From wind and solar, to battery storage, hydrogen and carbon capture, the clean energy sectors are taking the nation by storm. There is currently more than US$270 billion worth of renewable energy projects in the Australian project pipeline, mainly wind and solar. To support these developments the country also boasts more than US$43 billion worth of large-scale battery storage projects.
Australia is also emerging as a key player in the global hydrogen supply chain with more than 69 hydrogen production projects in the pipeline, worth over US$125 billion. The cumulative installed capacity for these green hydrogen projects, which are set to start production between now and 2030, currently exceeds 110GW.
Businesses interested in supplying materials, equipment, and services to the diverse Australian energy sector will benefit from participating in the Australia Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG) as the event connects the entire oil, gas and energy supply chain.
