About this event

The global energy transition represents a pathway toward overwhelming change in the production and consumption of energy. What does this mean for many African countries?

A renewables-based energy transition promises to deliver vast socio-economic benefits to countries across Africa, improving energy access, creating jobs and boosting energy security. At the same time, there is a risk that African countries will be barred from monetising their remaining hydrocarbon wealth and they may not be able to participate in leading roles in this transformation that is currently widely driven by technology interventions developed in the traditional industrialised countries.

For this webinar “The future of Energy in Africa” that is part of our global Energy transition series, we have invited speakers that represent technology providers and impact investors to learn about their views on the short, mid, and long term consequences of the Energy Transition on the continent.

We also speak with those in Government with direct insight, control and on-the-ground expertise about the immediate impact the Energy Transition has on their country.

Please join us on 28th July, 2-315pm GMT, with our host Alexander Sarac, partner at Addleshaw Goddard and our expert panellists to learn more about the future of the role African countries will play in the global energy transition.

To register simply click HERE or use the link in the attached invitation and we look forward to seeing you on the 28th July for what promises to be a truly engaging debate
